various blogs on the novel ‘heat and dust’ show how learners can keep record of what they have been doing in class as well as at home by

- creating summaries of each chapter (creating a reading diary)
- concentrating on single aspects – such as characterizing the protagonists
+ sharing their work with their classmates and teacher.

By making their work public, they are probably more liklely to work intensively and carefully, because their posts will be read and evaluated by others, which results in beautiful work.  See here:
